Hi there. We’re EMCS and we’re the largest, truly independent alarm receiving centre (ARC) in the UK. What does that mean? Well, it means we aren’t tied to any alarm company, so we can offer you the freedom to provide whichever alarm system suits your customers’ needs best.

Peace of mind since 1987
Here are some things you might be interested to know about us.
We started in 1987, founded by Terry Barge. He then passed the business on to his son, Andrew Barge, who has driven us forward in every respect. Our ARC is based in Nottingham, however, we provide alarm monitoring for customers across the country. Over the years, EMCS has remained at the forefront of the industry and continues to do so with significant investment from Andrew and his team.
Our friendly, knowledgeable EMCS service team, who are on hand day or night for rapid response, can cater to your every need. Meanwhile, our alarm receiving centre is resistant to attacks and power failures, this means your customers can sleep easy at night knowing they’re covered by an NSI Gold-approved company.
So relax, because when we say we offer peace of mind, we really mean it.

"We swapped to EMCS in 2004 because we wanted to be with a truly independent ARC. The team at EMCS made the transfer painless despite all the obstacles. Since then we have never looked back, the service and care is fantastic."

"Initially I thought that making a change to another monitoring centre was never going to be easy. However when the EMCS team took over the whole operation ran extremely smoothly. All our systems were transferred with no disruption to our customers at all."
