What is the job role?

As an Alarm/VSS operator you will be responsible for contacting customers’ in relation to alarm activations for a premises. You will need to process/respond to the alarm activation in a calm and timely manner, and take appropriate action to make sure our customers’ and their premises are safe and secure.

The role will involve making outbound calls to key contacts, and where applicable the emergency services, you will also be responsible for handling inbound calls and assisting with the varied questions or queries our customers’ may have.

What training is offered?

When you start your role you will undergo a six-week intensive training course to make sure you have the knowledge you need to perform your job role to the expected high standards. Ongoing training will be provided throughout your career, making sure you are up to date with all new procedures and policies within the alarm monitoring sector.

What are the hours?

Alarm/VSS operators work on a ‘4 on 4 off’ rota, the first two days you will work 07:00 to 19:00, you will then work the next two nights 19:00 – 07:00 followed by four days off.
